Planning
AGI planning phase for all projects is a methodical process based on
total quality management (TQM) principles. Utilizing the TQM quality improvement
process (QIP) affords us the opportunity to truly understand customer
requirements and develop efficient process flows while producing our manufacturing
outputs. There are four major activities in our planning phase:
1. Identify output
2. Identify customer
3. Identify customer requirements
4. Translate customer requirements into supplier specifications
Our highly trained staff work around the clock to ensure customer requirements are defined and understood by all production teams - and ultimately, a painless, worry-free experience for our clients.
Let us show you why hundreds of companies have chosen Action Group Inc. as their primary manufacturing and fulfillment source.
Research
Making a product is the easy part; the hard part is truly understanding
customer requirements and expectations. Our research is conducted through
our due-diligence process. Our team of experts all work together to ensure
all product information and variables are identified and confirmed with
every customer prior to the commencement of production.
At Action Group Inc., we ask ourselves daily, "Do I have all the necessary information required, can I build the product to print, achieve required tolerances and exceed customer requirements?".
Ideation
We live in an age of information; ideas are being transerred at a much faster pace every day.
Our daily challenge is not merely getting a product to the market on time, it is getting THE product to market on time. We give all our products that added edge, that uniqueness that is deserved by not only our clients but the people they serve.
Refinement
The basic ideas always need that little extra something to become great. We take what we have and what we have learned through the entire process and perfect our original concept.
Our engineers take that extra step by implementing tried and true methods along with years of experience in mechanical design to achieve the desired result - leaving you, the end user, with a much more accessible product.
Engineering
With combined efforts of our entire staff, our engineers are able to better focus on the task at hand.
Utilizing industry standard design packages such as: SolidWorks 3D Modeling and AutoDesk's AutoCAD - precision and workflow go hand-in-hand.
Vendor Sourcing
The vendoring process actually begins during the concept Refinement phase. Our team researches and develops relationships with domestic and offshore partners, establishing bonds that aid in the successful completion of production.
As information journeys through the different phases of production, our team becomes much more able to effectively establish critical guidelines in the direction of future steps. This allows for a much more fluid and dynamic design process.
Prototyping and Testing
As with any development process, prototyping and testing the design is critical. Our formal production facility unmask problems that add to or refine our previous concepts. This gives the entire staff a good foothold on which direction to take with the final design.
Formal evaluation of the user interface points out opportunities to further simplify user interaction.
Implementation
Our prototyping and testing process results in a list of changes across the board from minor screw hole placements to fully redesigning the entire unit. The teams work in unison to tackle the changes and work closely with our production partners to make the design ready for production. Even across continents and through language barriers, the teams are able to work effectively toward the release of complete CAD files.
We used a combination of communications methods including teleconferencing, email and IM. Both sides of the global team are flexible in terms of meeting times and collaborate to move the processes along smoothly.
Documentation
When implementation tasks are complete, formal part and assembly documentation is developed. At Action Group, Inc., it is extremely important that the communication pathway be layed. Transference of information is crucial in the entire development process.
Production
All projects must come to an end. At Action Group, Inc., the process does not end with merely shipping the unit to it's final destination. We follow through past shipping, and hand delivering the unit in some cases, on through field testing on location.
The only way to properly establish a working unit is to see it in action - being used by the consumer themselves. What does this mean to you? A higher level of satisfaction in knowing that you have recieved the best possible experience; and a peace of mind in knowing that the proper steps (processes) have been taken to ensure customer satisfaction.
